She previously served as Chief of the Ohio Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Section, where she was instrumental in creating Ohio’s Do Not Call laws. In her practice today, Michele advises clients on proactively managing federal and state consumer protection and privacy demands and provides representation in government enforcement and investigation matters before state attorneys general, the FTC, and FCC.
Michele is a trusted advisor to leading industry associations, and currently serves as Regulatory Counsel to LeadsCouncil and General Counsel to the Professional Association for Customer Engagement, where she also oversees its Self-Regulatory Organization. She is a highly sought-after speaker on consumer protection matters and has written and presented extensively on the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and other telemarketing regulations.
An advocate for diversity in the legal profession, Michele is past president of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association, and is a member of the National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF).
