We are excited to announce the promotion of Chris Wager to Partner as of January 1, 2022.
Joining Mac Murray & Shuster in 2019, Chris’s practice focuses on helping clients proactively comply with privacy and consumer protection laws and defend against regulatory enforcement action and litigation. He has more than a decade of experience working with businesses in highly regulated industries including automotive, financial services, healthcare, energy, and retail.
Chris has worked extensively with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and other telemarketing laws, and has advised on advertising and marketing matters including issues related to unfair and deceptive trade practices, sweepstakes and promotions, and loyalty programs. He also advises on a wide range of privacy and data security matters such as developing privacy policies, behavioral advertising, information sharing, cybersecurity, digital marketing, social media, and the collection and use of consumer data.
“Chris has made an impact at M&S from day one and we’re thrilled to welcome him as our newest partner. With his exceptional legal skills and above-and-beyond dedication to clients, we know he will be an integral part of the firm’s future growth and success,” said Managing Partner Michele Shuster.
Chris received his B.A. from Kenyon College (summa cum laude) and his J.D. from The University of Michigan Law School. He is actively engaged in supporting his community and currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Creative Living, a non-profit organization that provides affordable housing for disabled individuals who desire to further their education, pursue careers, and contribute to the community.
Congratulations, Chris, on your considerable accomplishments and this well-deserved recognition!
