This marks Partner Helen Mac Murray’s eighth year achieving recognition in the area of Government Relations Practice and her second year in the area of Advertising Law. A former Chief of the Ohio Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Section, Helen has been a leader in the consumer protection arena for almost 25 years, and now uses her experience and insights to focus on the defense of state, federal, and multistate consumer protection investigations.
Managing Partner Michele Shuster has been recognized for her achievements in Consumer Law. Also a former Ohio Consumer Protection Chief, Michele brings more than two decades of experience in consumer protection with an extensive background in the teleservices industry. She advises highly-regulated businesses on a wide range of privacy, advertising, and other consumer protection issues and provides representation in matters before the FCC, FTC, and state attorneys general.
Former Ohio Attorney General and Of Counsel Attorney Betty Montgomery received continued recognition in the area of Government Relations Practice. Betty has earned a national reputation for her consumer protection work, and today focuses her practice on helping clients understand and meet their regulatory compliance obligations. Her distinguished career in public service includes 26 years in elected positions and a number of “firsts,” including serving as Ohio’s first woman Attorney General and first woman Auditor of State.
Partner Josh Stevens has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in the area of Communications Law for the second year. Bringing insight from experience as an in-house attorney, Josh helps clients in wide-ranging industries understand and comply with privacy, data security, and other consumer protection laws.
